Ron Rezek, a famed industrial designer, circa 1980s. In 1978, Rezek started Ron Rezek Lighting to design and sell contemporary decorative lighting and furniture. He maintained a showroom in New York, Los Angeles, and an office and warehouse in Culver City. His steel-and-chrome desk lamp, hanging desk lamp and chrome-steel-and-maple table were included in the 1976 California Design show.

The lamps are constructed with patinated Zinc and brass accent across the bottom. The shade is adorned with cutout to allow the light filter through.

A pair has recently been highlighted in Elle Decor and historically referenced in the iconic 1996 film, Heat, directed by Michael Mann.
