Designed by Ernesto Gismondi in 1975, the ‘Sistena Farento’ wall lamps by Artemide stand as a testament to mid-century modern design. Created during the 1970s, this series reflects Gismondi’s innovative approach and Artemide’s commitment to combining form and function.

Initially, these lamps were fitted with the distinctive Cornalux bulb, known for its "hammerhead" design, which was later replaced with an aluminium diffuser in the 1980s to reduce costs. This adaptation showcased Artemide's dedication to practical and economical design solutions while maintaining aesthetic appeal.

The ‘Sistena Farento’ lamps, produced in both small and large sizes, exemplify Gismondi’s vision of modernist lighting. Crafted from lacquered metal, they feature a minimalist design that aligns with the era’s emphasis on clean lines and functional beauty. We have 4 small and 2 large versions available.
